LEATT BRACE MOTO GPX

The Leatt-Brace™ is an injection produced glass reinforced nylon or carbon fiber and Kevlar neck brace system designed by medical professionals and motorcycle enthusiasts to help prevent:

* Hyperflexion: extreme forward head movement
* Hyperextension: extreme rearward head movement
* Lateral Hyperflexion: extreme sideways head movement
* Axial loading: compression of the spinal column due to the effect of force on the helmet
* Posterior hypertranslation: rearward movement of the head/helmet on the neck.

There is currently no other neck protection system available for motorcyclists that can effectively help prevent all of the above potential injuries. The design rationale behind the Leatt-Brace™ is to bring the head to a controlled stop. This is achieved by providing a padded rigid structure that acts as an alternate load path for neck forces. Helmet impacts otherwise transmitted from the helmet to skull and then to the neck are re-directed from the helmet to the brace to other body structures in a safe way.

Small and Medium sized models of the MOTO GPX are available. To determine the correct size of brace for your body, please use the following rough fitment guide:

Small: 4 – 16 years old (thin build)
Medium: 16 years + (average to bigger build)

World Mini GP 2008

Survival is the name of this game here at this event. Battling the elements is just another part of this game. 40 mile an hour winds, rough and dusty conditions and a poorly manicured track left plenty of top amateur riders walking out of this year’s event with injuries. With the conditions the way they were throughout the week, I told my whole team to ride smart, smooth and be safe. Most important I wanted my team out of here safely and everyone could not agree more with me more. The track layout was similar to years past. Featuring extra large jumps, the infamous Las Vegas speedway strip where riders reach speeds of close to 60 mph, a brand new rhythm section that claimed more than a handful of riders over the week’s worth of racing. Fox team performed perfectly. Not taking many risks and also looking more along the lines of survival, we posted average results for this event. I was very proud to have my team come out alive. Great work team and thanks for riding smart and hard.

Monster Energy’s Paul Thacker and Chris Burandt Are Over In Sweden Filming The Latest Vin Diesel Movie

– Monster Energy’s world distance record-holding snowmobile jumper Paul Thacker just called to let us know he and fellow Monster Energy/Slednecks Invasion Tour headliner and X Games Gold Medalist, Chris Burandt, are over in Riksgrandsen, Sweden, filming the ballsy parts of the extreme snowmobile footage for Vin Diesel’s new movie “Babylon AD.”

“Dude, it’s insane,” said Thacker from a phone. “Me and Burandt are doing the entire sequence for the snowmobile scene. Cliff drops, back flips, BIG air – running through fire bombs. You wouldn’t believe it. ‘Click.’” (Thacker’s gone.)

A follow-up email with some sort of solar flare explanation and Thacker’s saying they won’t let Vin Diesel come watch him and Burandt because Diesel, a huge Slednecks fan, would end up wadding himself up on a sled trying to keep up with the Monster guys. And that, of course, wouldn’t be good – having the star of the movie wrecked and all.

Turns out the stunt coordinator for “Babylon AD,” Bob Brown, saw Thacker’s recent world record snowmobile jump (245 feet) on the Internet, as well as Burandt’s Gold Medal run in this past February’s Winter X Games and contacted Slednecks’ John Keegan to get the ball rolling.

“Vin wants to come out and ride with the Slednecks and Bob won’t let him,” said Thacker. “So there’s a bunch of dudes from Sweden, like 50 to 60, following us around all day shooting pics and video. It’s crazy here!”

Next up for Monster Energy’s Thacker and Burandt is the Monster Energy/Slednecks Invasion Tour sometime this summer/fall. Stay tuned to www.monsterenergy.com for more information on this cutting edge event.

Monster Energy supports the sport. Be it snowmobiles, motocross, surf, skate, snow, BMX – name it – the athletes are rockin’ Monster Energy more than anything these days. Check out all the types – Original Monster Energy, Monster Lo-Carb, Monster Assault and the new Monster/fruit juice hybrid called “Khaos.” Paul Thacker and Chris Burandt dig ‘em – so will you.
