Survival is the name of this game here at this event. Battling the elements is just another part of this game. 40 mile an hour winds, rough and dusty conditions and a poorly manicured track left plenty of top amateur riders walking out of this year’s event with injuries.With the conditions the way they were throughout the week, I told my whole team to ride smart, smooth and be safe. Most important I wanted my team out of here safely and everyone could not agree more with me more. The track layout was similar to years past. Featuring extra large jumps, the infamous Las Vegas speedway strip where riders reach speeds of close to 60 mph, a brand new rhythm section that claimed more than a handful of riders over the week’s worth of racing. Fox team performed perfectly. Not taking many risks and also looking more along the lines of survival, we posted average results for this event. I was very proud to have my team come out alive.
